The Lotus Blossom
The lotus is the worlds’ oldest flower in existence today. During its 145.5 million years it’s seeds have been known to survive some of the most extreme climate changes, including the ice age. Its unparalleled resilience and ability to survive appropriately dubs it the “flower of life”.
It is deeply rooted in some of the dirtiest waters and is known to resist pollution and actually purify the water where they grow. Each night the flower submerges into the depth of murkiest water and reblooms in the light of the day without residue.
In ancient cultures, the lotus is considered one of the most sacred plants in the world. With its daily process of life, death, and reemergence it signifies the life cycle. It is symbolic of our own faith offering hope and strength even during life’s most challenging moments.
